What an awesome little shop, amazing family, and some great baked goods! Walked in for the first time today to grab a coffee and ended up buying one of everything on the counter for my coworkers today. Can't wait until they open tomorrow so I can grab another box of goods! Also, plant based cups AND paper straws???

Just discovered this wonderful spot. Their cronuts might be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. The owners were friendly and gracious. Can't wait to go back.

Stopped in for a coffee today and spotted kouign-ammon in the case. Left with my coffee and 2 kouign-ammon which were absolutely exquisite! You will not be disappointed by this gem of a bakery/ cafe right here in Gilbertsville!

What a little gem of a bakery in beautiful Gilbertsville. Delicious pastries and a complete complement of coffee drinks. Yum! Such nice folks to serve, too

I stayed across the street from here for a week (Signature Quilt) and I went here almost every day for a cold brew. Got the chocolate chip cookies - OMG. I got another pack of them the day I had to drive home. I just ate one now and I want another one immediately. Good stuff here between selection of coffee and iced drinks and baked goods.

First trip to 5 kids, Certainly will not be my last. So happy to see such a small business in my local community! There is a different menu every day so arrive early before they are sold out!

We stop in a couple of times a week on our way to work. The coffee and assortment of other beverages is wonderful. The baked goods are fantastic. I tell everyone I know how good everything is from there.

Quite honestly not only the best in the area but some of the best baked good I've ever had. Period. An outstanding little bakery in a picturesque village - it's well worth a trip from wherever you are to visit Five Kids Bakehouse.

The baked goods rival any that I've had including in NYC, Europe, and Asia. Some favorites are the kouign amann, chocolate croissant, almond croissant. My fiancé is gluten free and said all of their gluten free baked goods are amazing. Also they have an incredible curated selection of bottled and canned products. All in all an amazing store.

I absolutely love their lattes! And don't get me started on the baked goods!! Everything is always fresh, and the coffee is always hot and better than any chain coffee shop. Absolutely amazing .... I visit every chance I can

Cutest little bakery ! A bunch of artisanal, unique goods. Crafted drinks we had were delicious. I got some white chocolate pistachio cardamom cookie that were amazing. We went late so we missed the other baked goods. Definitely going back earlier next time ! Also, the shop owner was super nice. Had "main character in a Hallmark movie" vibes

What a gem! They have a set lunch menu that's always delicious. Their pastries and baked goods don't disappoint. My favorites have been the savory danishes, the maple bacon, and the pistachio cardamom cookies. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

My son and I stopped in after a long walk around town. The iced coffee was extremely well made and satisfying despite the cold weather. We also had a chocolate cookie stuffed with strawberry jam and a lemon and lavender short bread bar. Both of those baked items were delicious and well made. I recommend eating here and enjoying a leisurely stroll around the historic town.

Adorable place! With the best coffee and sweets

Oh my. What a hidden gem. If you are a foodie, as I suspect the owner is, you must go. It is not just a bakery but also deli and a market with many imported products.

Tami P.

The pastries here are out of this world! The berry-rhubarb crumble and the lemon lavender bar were awesome, but they all looked amazing.

Amazing baked goods, very friendly and helpful, neat variety of gifts, preserves, candy, crackers, etc. And they have a bathroom!

Five kids bakehouse is a literal slice of heaven tucked into this tiny town. We were in the area for a college graduation and ended up staying right across from the bakehouse, so we took advantage of their early hours for some breakfast pastries. Needless to say, we were shocked at how good they were. So shocked, in fact, that we ate them all and went back for more an hour later - only to find that they were nearly sold out of everything (people come on the weekend to stock up for the upcoming week). Definitely worth stopping if you're passing through or want to take a detour for a delicious treat! Now please excuse me while I go sing this bakery's praises to everyone I know.

So glad I took the ride to Gilbertsville! Lovely bakery in this quaint village. Bread, muffins (chose a GF option for my SIL) cookies and scones, all were delicious! Friendly helpful service. Would definitely recommend!

I just purchased a cruffin and almond croissant from the Mt Vision stand and oh my goodness! They were absolutely amazing! So soft! Can't wait to go try more!

This has been my favorite addition to Gilbertsville. The baked goods are superb. The quality is what you might expect from a place that was there for a hundred years. Whether you are looking for something savory or sweet, they have something for you. Take some time to drive their way and take a taste.
