Five Kids Bakehouse: Crafting Tradition, Sharing Passion
"Five Kids Bakehouse is a destination bakery, cafe, and specialty food shop focusing on scratch-made breads and pastries utilizing traditional methods. We decided to open the store after Heather had been baking out of their home for several years while selling her goods to local farmers markets retail stores. I(Heather) a self-taught baker who takes tremendous pride in what comes out of her kitchen. After working in the staffing industry for over 10 years, I(Cole) joined the team on this journey and handle the FOH and business aspects of running a business, so that she can do her thing. We both love and appreciate good food and its ability to bring people together. It brought us together as servers at Zaytinya in Washington, D.C.
